Ragolle was founded in 1950 by Alfred and Maria Ragolle. In 1985, the second generation, Myriam Ragolle and her husband Herman Verhelst started a rug department with qualities in wool and viscose. The collection was later expanded with rugs in Heatset Polypropylene and Polyester.
In 1999, Ragolle built a new weaving mill, which was further expanded in 2013. Ragolle completed the expansion in 2016 with new offices and showrooms. In June 2022, Ragolle was acquired by Victoria PLC, a British group specializing in flooring. Katrien Vandenbroucke is the current CEO of Ragolle Rugs.
